The department of Biotechnology was established in the year 2016 for the welfare of the students in the field of science and technology. The department offers UG programme from the academic year 2016-2017 and PG programme from the Academic year 2020-2021 with the aid of qualified and dedicated faculty members. The department has good infrastructures with sophisticated laboratory in order to provide the students hands on training on various techniques and equipments.

The curriculum has been designed comprising bioscience credentials like Microbiology, Immunology & Immuno-technology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Plant and Animal Biotechnology, Microbial Technology, IPR & Bioethics, Bioinstrumentation by Bharathidasan University to provide the students with practical knowledge. Our UG & PG Students enjoy a good learning environment where their interest and passion can be explored. Students are supported and encouraged by conducting coaching classes, awareness programs, training on career opportunities, English speaking skills etc., We aim to provide Academic excellence in the field of biotechnology and to become a Researcher. B.Sc. Biotechnology	A Pass in 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology or Biology as one of the core subjects.
M.Sc. Biotechnology	A pass in B.Sc. Biotechnology
