Departments

The Motto of the Department of Chemistry is to provide Education, Employment to the students and to increase productivity and prosperity in their life. The undergraduate course in Chemistry was started in the year 2014-2015 and the course was designed by Choice-Based Credit System accordingly. The Undergraduate Chemistry Programme has been carefully planned to give students a strong foundation in theory and applications by focusing on the recent developments in Chemistry.

The Department of Chemistry has started M.Sc., Programme in the academic year of 2016-2017. The Department has individual laboratory facilities and Smart Classes. Currently, six regular faculty members are working. In 2018, a student secured the University 7th Rank.

Objectives

• Educate the next generation of chemists with real-world problem-solving skills.
• Provide strong analytical and synthetic chemistry knowledge.
• Impart skills and knowledge required for careers in R&D and applied chemistry.

Library

The department has an extensive library.

Laboratory

This lab supports both UG and PG students with experiments in optics, electronics, microprocessor, and material synthesis.
